2、Technical principle:Gansu TengSheng Agricultural Group researched and developed Teng potato No. 1(original code 35--62) is based on species potato No. 3 as female parent,to Kexin 2 as male parent of hybrid combination,the new potato varieties were bred from the combination.According to the breeding objective,the breeding of new potato variety Teng potato No.1 has been developed,the specific method is to potato late blight,black shank,ring rot disease,virus disease has stronger resistance,cultivation of parent material configuration starch content and high protein content of hybrid combinations.
3、The performance index:This type Semi erect,branching medium,plant height was 60 75cm,green stem,leaf color is dark green,corolla is white,no fruit.Tuber skin is smooth,potato buds is shallow,uniform size,oval,potato's peel and the flesh is yellow,as in potato type late maturing varieties,growth period is about 120 days.Plant growth power is strong,luxuriant plants.Tuberization concentration,Tuber 5--8,large and medium tuber number ratio generally around 75%,tuber dormancy period,resistant storage.The varieties with high yield,resistance to late blight,have better field resistance to mosaic and leafroll virus disease.In 2008,the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences Test Center had a chemical analysis for Teng potato No.1 potato samples.The dry matter content of 24.16g/100g,starch content of 20.81%,crude protein content of 2.45%,vitamin C content of 24.84mg/100g,reducing sugar content 0.217%.High starch content,low reducing sugar content,these characteristics made it suit with starch and flour processing.The varieties was in regional test in Gansu province between the year 2007 and 2008,the average per mu yield of 1791.8 kilograms,than the unified control of Long potato No.6(average 1583.8 kilograms per mu yield) increased 14.8% fold,than the local control (average reduction per 1621.9) increased by 12.1%;in the production demonstration,the average per mu yield of 2246.7 kilograms,than the local varieties with an average 1794.4 kilograms per mu yield of 25.8%.
